Abel Custom Build & Design built a 20’ x 23’ detached garage that aesthetically matches our main house. Project was heavy in concrete foundation, framing, electrical and HVAC. Josh Abel, the owner, and his team of subcontractors did a great job. We found Josh to be highly responsive and communicative during the bid and construction processes. He was onsite regularly. If you’re looking for a capable honest contractor for your new construction or renovation project, I highly recommend Josh. We’d use Abel again if we have a significant project arise.

We needed a renovation in our home, that was too complicated for a normal contractor: including electrical, trim work, tongue & groove on the two exterior porches, demo, floor tile work, shelving, then final painting. The owner, Josh Abel, came out to give us an estimate. His work was so professional. He coordinated the trim subcontractor, who literally had decades of experience. Sub-Contractor after sub, it all came together quickly, with oversight from Josh. He also did our neighbor’s outdoor kitchen. It looks spectacular! I would recommend Able Custom Build with no reservations whatsoever!

It’s rare to find builders and contractors that follow through, do what they say they’ll do, arrive on time and on days promised. Josh has a great eye for design and really knows his stuff. He took our ideas, made suggestions, kept the communication going during the project and it came out even BETTER than we imagined! His attention to detail really shows and the entire project was completed to the highest standards and on time. It was worth every penny! Crews were kind and respectful and cleaned up thoroughly every day. Upon project completions in the past I always have minor complaints or things they have to come back and fix (and we’ve been through a LOT of renovations) but I have no complaints with Josh and his team. It’s PERFECT!! As a decorator/designer Josh is my go-to for a General Contractor and I can always trust that he’ll come through and produce beautiful work and happy clients. My husband and I wanted a grilling station and a tongue and groove ceiling installed on back covered patio. Josh Abel came to our home at the time he stated and we spent time explaining what we wanted. Josh was very receptive to our plans and even offer some suggestions that were in line with what we were looking forward to. We accepted Josh's bid and he kept us informed of the status everyday including when material and his crews would be at our home. He matched the brick perfectly to our home, and when it came time for the granite, he suggested two different companies that he dealt with and they also were very cooperative with what I wanted. We would have no second thoughts of hiring Josh and his company to handle any and all improvements to our home in the future. Josh Abel by far has been the best experience for getting some much needed house projects done. Josh is professional and the craftsmanship was outstanding. His team did amazing work on rebuilding our indoor fireplace and redoing the kitchen island. Also painting the entire exterior house. We used Josh Abel for new construction on an outside Pergola along with a remodel project inside our home. Josh stressed “Communication” as a trait he focussed on, which in large part is why he and his company were selected. He did not disappoint as it relates to communication; he makes himself very accessible. Josh was on time when he said he would arrive and was on the job every day. He appears to have a good rapport with the trades he uses and is loyal to. As with every project, things happen and when something was not right, Josh had no problem saying, “we will get that fixed.” There were even areas on the architectural plans that Josh questioned, which some warranted an on the fly change. We trusted Josh fully. He was given a key to our home and had full access, although he was always respectful and communicated before entry. He kept the place clean and expected the same from the trades used. I would use Josh Abel again.

I needed my outdoor kitchen renovated and after calling several other companies in town with poor response and follow up, I finally called Abel Custom Deaigns. Josh came over and we discussed what I wanted done and he was able to give some options that were in my budget. His communication and follow up were just what I was looking for. After all the appliances have been delivered, it took him and his team about two days to get everything done. I couldn't be more please.

Josh and his team did an amazing job on the remodel of our master bathroom. He made sure everything came out exactly as I wanted and that everything was to perfection. The remodel made our small bathroom feel 10 times larger and even added some much needed storage space. Josh and his crew did a major remodel on our 4300 square-foot home. From start to finish everything was done with the greatest of care and the quality was unbelievable. Timelines were met and there were no surprises in the budget process. I would highly recommend Josh for any construction, whether it be new or remodel. They did an absolutely marvelous job.

ABEL Custom Build and Design should be everyone’s go to contractor for custom builds or renovations. We had kitchen renovations and painting as well as interior decorating done by Jodi Abel. Josh and Jodi walked us through the whole process, helping with the selection of colors, countertops, cupboards and ceiling design. They completed tasks when they said they would be completed. Honestly could not be happier with our renovations. Jodi’s an amazing interior decorator as well. She did my “she shed” room and it looks amazing.
