ABEL Custom Build & Design, LLC was formed by Owner, Josh Abel who has been in the construction industry his whole life. Being a past President of local Building Materials companies who supplied materials to Builders and Contractors across the state I have learned a vast knowledge of the industry and all the tools needed to be one of the best in the business. As a New Braunfels native and having a passion for construction and helping people, I am here to serve New Braunfels and surrounding areas. He is great at communicating with us and answering all of our questions- and we had A LOT as first-time home owners. Josh came over and we discussed what I wanted done and he was able to give some options that were in my budget. His communication and follow up were just what I was looking for. After all the appliances have been delivered, it took him and his team about two days to get everything done. I couldn't be more please.

ABEL Custom Build and Design should be everyone’s go to contractor for custom builds or renovations. We had kitchen renovations and painting as well as interior decorating done by Jodi Abel. Josh and Jodi walked us through the whole process, helping with the selection of colors, countertops, cupboards and ceiling design. They completed tasks when they said they would be completed. Honestly could not be happier with our renovations. Jodi’s an amazing interior decorator as well. She did my “she shed” room and it looks amazing.

We used Josh Abel for new construction on an outside Pergola along with a remodel project inside our home. Josh stressed “Communication” as a trait he focussed on, which in large part is why he and his company were selected. He did not disappoint as it relates to communication; he makes himself very accessible. Josh was on time when he said he would arrive and was on the job every day. He appears to have a good rapport with the trades he uses and is loyal to. As with every project, things happen and when something was not right, Josh had no problem saying, “we will get that fixed.” There were even areas on the architectural plans that Josh questioned, which some warranted an on the fly change. We trusted Josh fully. He was given a key to our home and had full access, although he was always respectful and communicated before entry. He kept the place clean and expected the same from the trades used. I would use Josh Abel again.

Josh Abel by far has been the best experience for getting some much needed house projects done. Josh is professional and the craftsmanship was outstanding. His team did amazing work on rebuilding our indoor fireplace and redoing the kitchen island. Also painting the entire exterior house. It was stress free and I didn’t have to worry about checking in on the project. Josh took care of everything. I will be using Josh for every project I have at the house now and in the future.
